Day 1 - NEGOMBO

SRI LANKA – ARRIVAL

Welcome to Sri Lanka. Meet English speaking driver on arrival at Bandaranayke International Airport. Transfer to hotel in Negombo. Spend the day getting acclimatized or enjoy an Ayurvedic spa treatment or a body massage to help overcome Jetlag.

Day 2 - SIGIRIYA

NEGOMBO – SIGIRIYA (B)

Proceed to the famed UNESCO heritage site of Sigiriya after an early breakfast. Sightseeing tour of the 5th century complex includes climbing to the summit of the 200 meter rock, the central feature of the site. On the way up see the mirror wall with graffiti of ancient visitors and frescoes of apsaras as it was painted millennia ago. After climbing down enjoy the beautifully laid out water and bolder gardens. Check-into hotel upon completion of tour.

Day 3 - KANDY

SIGIRIYA – KANDY (B)

After breakfast enjoy a visit to a typical dry zone village. Travel by boat or bullock cart. See a typical rural dwelling and observe the lifestyle of a rural family. Proceed to Kandy in the central hills. Check into the hotel on arrival. Embark on city sightseeing tour that includes a visit to the much venerated Temple of the Tooth Relic, in a part of the former royal palace. Attend the evening cultural show where over 100 dancers and musicians showcase traditional Kandyan dance forms and music. Return to hotel.

Day 4 - BANDARAWELA

KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA – BANDARAWELA (B)

Check out after breakfast and proceed to Nuwara Eliya, located at an altitude of 1,868 meters. Enjoy vistas of mountains, deep valleys and tea plantation. On the way stop by at a tea plantation to see how tea is picked for processing and visit the tea factory on site to learn how the green leaf is processed. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya and enjoy a walk in the city before traveling to Nanu Oya railway station to catch the train to Bandarawela. Enjoy one of the great train journeys of the world. The scenery on this stretch is truly gorgeous. On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 - YALA

BANDARAWELA – YALA (B)

Check out after early breakfast. Enjoy a short trek to Mini Adams Peak for more gorgeous views. Embark on 120 km journey to Yala National Park on the south eastern coast of Sri Lanka. Check-into hotel upon arrival. Enjoy an evening jeep safari, the best time to spot Sri Lanka leopards, elephants, deer and sambur among other mammals.

Overnight: Yala

Day 6 - YALA

YALA – AIRPORT (B)

Check out after an early breakfast & proceed to Bandaranayke International airport for departure home.
