The day begins with the city tour of Kolkata. You will be Marvelled at the sight of Victoria Memorial dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria, followed by Indian Museum which is the largest and oldest museum in India and has rare collections of antiques, armour and ornaments, fossils, skeletons, mummies, and Mughal paintings. Also, visit Fort William and the famous Howrah Bridge. The first capital of the British in India, Kolkata does not have an ancient history like Delhi so these landmarks will give you a clear picture of British rule in Kolkata.

Today morning you will be taken to The Missionaries of Charity’s Mother House and Pottery village. Mother Teresa was the founder of 'The Missionaries of Charity' on October 7, 1950, and her small band of dedicated pupils striving to serve humanity with the vow of “Wholehearted and Free service to the poorest of the poor”. Later at Kumartuli – the Colony of Potters, you would find almost 400 sculptors etching through clay brought from the nearby River Ganges to create some of the most fascinating idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. A whole army of sculptors, potters, frame decorators and dressers work in harmony with heaps of straw, clay, cheap gold foils, bamboo, beads and mundane things to create art pieces so vivid, stylised and grand that it evokes lifetime awe. Afternoon you are going to sail in the River Hooghly. Feel the glory of the setting sun on river Hooghly, while sailing upriver to Belur Math, the international headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission and Dakshineswar, a unique Kali temple. This temple is the heart of the Ramakrishna Movement. The temple is notable for its architecture that fuses Christian, Islamic, Hindu and Buddhist art motifs as a symbol of unity of all religions.

KOLKATA to GUWAHATI THEN TRANSFER TO SHILLONG (B, D)
Flight to Guwahati and transfer to Shillong. The North-Eastern part of India is blessed with oodles of natural splendours, and some of the best spots to witness are Meghalaya, Kaziranga National Park and Nagaland. We start with Shillong which is one of the important tourist destinations in the northeast. At the sight of the rolling hills around the town reminds the similarity with the Scottish Highlands hence often Shillong is referred to as the "Scotland of the East”. The Khasi, Jaintia and Garo tribes add colour to this hilly city.

DAY TRIP TO CHERRAPUNJEE (B, L)
After early breakfast leave for Cherrapunjee, officially known as Sohra, is 53 km from Shillong, and a must-see destination for all tourists. It is the wettest destination in the world and en route to Cherrapunjee; you will come across roaring waterfalls diving into an enigmatic ravine. Once a Headquarters of Khasi & Jaintia Provinces during the reign of the British rule before shifting to Shillong in 1864. This was due to the inconvenience caused by excessive rain during the monsoons. First, you are going to visit India's tallest plunge waterfalls, Nohkalikai falls. Drive through a high tableland, trek for a short distance and you arrive at the viewpoint to have a breathtaking view of the Nohkalikai waterfall, cascading down into a pool-like formation. Then you are going to have a traditional lunch with a Khasi family. After lunch, hours drive to drive to Mawphlang Sacred Grove to understand how community belief and practices can preserve the ecology of the forest. Note: soft trek to Nohkalikai will take two hours, two ways.

DAY TRIP TO MAWLYNNONG VILLAGE AND ELEPHANT FALLS (B)
Starting your day with Don Bosco Museum. This seven-storey building exhibits a wide collection of regional artwork, attires, accoutrements, handicrafts, ornamentation, photographs and weapons. Then you are driving to the cleanest village in India. Just close to the scenic village, there are various riveting espy like the living root bridge made from rubber trees and a beautiful sight boulder balancing on another rock.

SHILLONG TO KAZIRANGA (B, D)
Drive to Kaziranga National Park – a world heritage site, the park holds two-thirds of the world’s Great One-horned rhinoceros. Kaziranga also boasts the highest density of tigers and is declared as a Tiger Reserve in 2006. Though sighting of tigers are difficult as the tall elephant grasses provide excellent camouflage, their presence can be felt everywhere by way of pug marks, kills and territorial markings. The park is home to large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalo and swamp deer. Note: - Kaziranga Park remain closed from 01 May till 31 Oct every year for the visitors

Get up early to experience the exhilarating jungle Safari through the depths of the forest by an elephant safari. Our representative will take you to the elephant riding point by jeeps. To relish the fascinating wildlife tour, taking a ride on a majestic elephant is one of the best ways. The safari will take you through the tropical semi-evergreen forests, rocky landscapes and tall thickets grass of Kaziranga National Park. The Wildlife enthusiasts are sure to cherish the glimpses of the varied flora and fauna of the park. The elephant safari is the best mean for wildlife viewing since wild animals are not afraid of the elephants and it is possible to observe wildlife very closely. Return to the resort for breakfast, relax and unwind. After lunch we take a jeep safari of the day, at this time we will explore the Western zone of the national park. One can also spend some time at the Donga view point, situated in the western zone. Finally, after an eventful day, you will be escorted safely back to your accommodation for the overnight stay. Note: - Elephant safari is subject to availability of seats, an alternative would be another jeep safari

Today you are proceeding to Kohima in Nagaland. Kohima is the hilly capital of India's northeastern border state of Nagaland which shares its borders with Burma. British people built Kohima which is home to the Naga and Kulkis tribe who can amaze everyone with their independence and a mystical & colourful culture that surrounds them. Kohima finds its place in history as the site where an intense battle with the Japanese occurred, during World War II.

We will start the day with world war-II cemetery. Overlooking Kohima amidst scenic environs the cemetery lies on the slopes of Garrison Hill, the Kohima War Cemetery is a memorial in honour of those officers and soldiers killed during the World War II. Formerly known as Garrison Hill is designed as a series of terraces with magnificent stone steps, bearing testimony to one of the most stubborn, close and bloody fighting in the whole of the Second World War. After authentic lunch with Naga family in their traditional kitchen visit another fascinating tourism place in Kohima, state Museum. Located right at the north of the bazaar, the state museum exhibits the excellent anthropological collection of Naga mask, textiles, jewellery, and totem pillars from all the 16 Naga tribes. Enjoy evening bazaar trail in the local market run mostly by Naga women.

Today you are going to explore Khonoma Asia’s first Green Village and Tuophema Tourist Village. Khonoma was a vanguard village of the Angami Naga tribe known for its fierce resistance against British dominance during the colonial period. Hunting being part of their culture Khonoma, one of the oldest Angami Villages has shown the way for others to follow by giving up their culture of hunting or cut trees and strongly practices ‘renewable Jhoom cultivation’. Their technique was to plant alder trees and cut them occasionally. They resist fire and can grow back from nothing. They are also known to generate one of the best natural manures at a great pace. By cutting smaller branches and leaving only the bigger branches they’ve succeeded in farming without cutting trees. The Tuophema tourist village developed here has been modelled around the ethnic tourism model and visitors are offered modern and hygienic accommodation in the traditional huts in an ethnic setting. Served everything from rice beer to local food, tourists can experience the local culture in these pretty settings
