Day 1
Yerevan

Arrival to Yerevan

Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport. Meet and greet transfer to the hotel. Rest.

Day 2
Yerevan

Yerevan (city tour with stops) – Brandy Fabrik (B/D)

After breakfast start city tour around Yerevan the history of which dates back to 8th century B.C. We will be strolling through the narrow streets of Yerevan which are mixture of old and modern culture. Visiting of Republic Square, Northern Avenue, Opera House, Swam Lake and Cascade Monument where you can find unique art samples. Visit to the depository of manuscripts – Matenadaran where one can find the world’s largest manuscripts collection. Visit Tsitsernakaberd Memorial and the museum of victims of Armenian Genocide. Our next stop is Brandy Factory “Noy” where you will be introduced to the brandy making techniques and have a degustation of brandy. Dinner at the local restaurant in Yerevan.

Day 3
Yerevan

Yerevan – Oshakan – Amberd –Yerevan (B/D)

After breakfast drive to the village of Oshakan. One of the biggest and most important sacred places of Armenia are located here - the mausoleum of the creator of the Armenian alphabet - Mesrop Mashtots, whose body was buried here by trout Vahan Amatuni. His grave is located close to the church after Mesrop mashtots name. Visit of the wine factory "Armenia Wine" with the tasting of wine. departure to the fortress of Amberd. The housing site of Amberd fortress was chosen very convenient by the builders, they avail of the mountainous terrain singularities. Amberd fortress locates in the southern of mount Aragats. The fortress building time is between 10th and 13th centuries (some buildings date from the 7th century). Return to Yerevan. Dinner at the local restaurant in Yerevan.

Day 4
Yerevan

Yerevan / Khor Virap / Noravank / Yerevan (B/D)

Sightseeing tour to the cradle of civilization to Khor Virap Monastery which is located very close to the Biblical Mount Ararat and border with Turkey. The importance of Khor Virap Monastery is connected with Grigor Illuminator who has be en imprisoned with the church for 13years for disseminating Christianity all over Armenia. Drive to Vayots Dzor region to visit Areni winery. Sightseeing at Noravank Monastery (13th c.) which is surrounded by mountains covered by red stones. The beauty of the surrounding mountains one can only see with his/her own eyes, as description can never give the real beauty. Return to Yerevan. Dinner at the local restaurant in Yerevan.

Day 5
Yerevan

Yerevan – Geghard – Garni – Sevan –Yerevan (B/L)

After breakfast departure to Geghard Monastery which is hewn out from a cave and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage. The monastery was built in 4th c. and also has the name of Ayrivank. Next stop us going to be Garni Pagan Temple– the only Hellenistic temple surviving in Armenia from 1st c. Lunch in a local house with the Armenian bread “lavash” baking ceremony in an underground heater called “tonir”. Here you can also learn the way of making Armenian sandwiches called “brduch” with hot “lavash” and cheese. Departure to Lake Sevan which is about 70 km from the capital located in Gegharkunik region. Here, in Lake Sevan, which has a very beautiful peninsula, we are going to climb many stairs up to see the churches located in the peak, from where opens also a beautiful view to the “blue-eyed” lake. Visit Brandy Factory “Ararat” to learn the techniques of Armenian bandy making process and degustation.

Day 6
Yerevan

Yerevan/ Echmiadzin / Zvartnots / Yerevan (B/D)

After breakfast drive to the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church - Echmiadzin Cathedral (4th). Echmiadzin Cathedral was built in 303c. and is one of the unique architectural examples from 4th c. where you can hit a candle just for your dreams and get the spiritual atmosphere coming from inside the church. Lunch in a local community tasting home-made dishes. On the way back to Yerevan visit the ruins of Zvartnots temple dating back to 7th c. which represents a new type of temples in Armenian architecture. The temple was built by Nerses G. Taeci in 641. On the way to Yerevan we visit "Maran" winery. Dinner in the restaurant.
