Day 1
Mandalay

MANDALAY ARRIVAL

Upon your arrival in Mandalay, you are welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Followed by an afternoon city tour including traditional handicraft workshops such as, marble carving, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, and Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery. Finally, enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where you can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc.

MANDALAY: AMARAPURA; SAGAING & AVA (B)

First, visit Mahamuni Buddha Image – one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar. Continue then to Amarapura, once an ancient capital of Myanmar, where you can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery. Visit also the silk weaving factory. Afterwards, travel to Sagaing for a breathtaking view from the Sagaing Hill onto the fascinating landscapes of the  Ayeyarwaddy River. Next, stop in Ava and visit the Meanu Okkyaung Monastery by horse carts. During this tour, you also see the Nan Myint Tower, which is 27 meter hight, and the  Bargayar Monastery, which is well-known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Finish your day with a sunset by crossing over the U Bein Bridge in Amarapura.

Monywa

MANDALAY – MONYWA  (B)

Drive to Monywa and on the way enjoy the life of the rural area. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel. Excursion to Powintaung Caves situated in a cliff which houses over 400,000 Buddha Images.

Bagan

MONYWA – BAGAN (B)

Visit Thanbode Temple in the morning with its over 500, 000 Buddha images and built in 1930. The  Bodhitathaung Temple has over 1000 sitting Buddha images under Bodhi trees (Ficus Religioso), and Shwetharlyaung Buddha image, etc. Proceed then to Pakkoku, a typical Myanmar village. Then take private local boat from Pakokku to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer and check in at the hotel.

BAGAN SIGHTSEEING TOUR (B)

Today, you spend your day in the amazing city of Bagan with its thousand of temples. Start with a visit to the colourful local market and continue then to the Shwezigon Pagode, the glory of Bagan. The Htilominlo Temple has the best pilaster carving, while the Nathtaukkyaung monastery consists of teak wood. Also on your list is the Ananda Temple, the masterpiece of Bagan, and the Gubyaukgyi Temple, one with the best mural paintings of the 11th century. Next, visit the Manuha temple with its huge Buhhda image. The Dhamayangyi Temple is the biggest one in the whole city. Last temple for today is the Sulamani Temple from the 12th century. Finish your day with a fantastic sunset view from the top of the sunset hill.

BAGAN FREE DAY (B)

Free day at leisure in Bagan. You can, for example, enjoy a bike tour among the ancient temples and pagodas by your own. Bagan, which is the richest Archaeological site in Myanmar and once splendid and glorious capital of the First Myanmar Empire. It is the most amazing site in Myanmar as in every direction you look, you see ruins of all sizes huge and glorious like Ananda soar towards the sky, and small, graceful pagodas & temples stand alone in the fields.

Day 7
Inle Lake

BAGAN – HEHO – INLE (B)

Take the morning flight to Heho from where you drive to the famous Inle Lake. Start with a boat excursion on the lake and visit the local tribe market, Lotus petal robe and silk weaving looms at Inn Paw Khone village. The Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda is the most venerable pagoda on the lake.

INLE: TAUNG CHAY VILLAGE & INN DEIN VILLAGE (B)

Spend the day exploring the Inle Lake by boat. First stop is the Ywama village, followed by the Taung Chay Village. This last one is located at the foot of a hill and offers an impressive view. Stroll through the village and observe the production of traditional rice creepy. Walk up the short walk to the Taung Chay Tawya monastery and enjoy the panoramic view. Continue then to Inn Dein Pagodas which lay in ruins and covered by trees and bushes. Stroll through the nearby Bamboo forest, before you head back to your hotel

Day 9
Loikaw

INLE – SAGAR – LOIKAW (B)

Drive to Loikaw through the Sagar village. Stop en-route in case there is the local market in Thantaung. Visit Sagar village and take a boat to ThaGaung relic pagoda, another ancient religious monument. Watch also the different ways of life of Shan, Pa O and Intha national races in Sagar village. Then continue to Loikaw. Transfer to hotel and visit TaungKweCeti to appreciate the sunset and panoramic view of Loikaw.

LOIKAW: PADAUNG VILLAGE (B, L)

Drive to Pan Pet, which offers opportunities for scenic hikes and chances to meet the local villagers – including the long-neck women (Kayah tribe). Panpet village group is composed with five small villages. In other villages, you can observe traditional hand-makes materials, visiting their home and charting with them and observe their daily life. Visit Salong Kana hamlet, to meet a local Kayan artisan, and enjoy a hands-on demonstration about how to make traditional, Kayan bracelets. You can also have a go at making a bracelet yourselves. Then visit the last village, which is called Pemsong village. On arrival, you are welcomed in a local home where you enjoy a hot drink and a simple, local snack. Finally, back to the first village and your trip ends in Rang Ku hamlet, where you visit small crafts shops, run by the famous Kayan people (popularly known as Long Neck Karen). Enjoy learning a few words of Kayan language and interacting with these fun-loving and artistic people. There are opportunities to buy local handicrafts. Then back to Loikaw to enjoy the beautiful sunset on the top of the main pagoda in Loikaw.

Day 11
Yangon

LOIKAW – YANGON (B)

If time permits, visit Loikaw local market before you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Yangon. Transfer to hotel and orientation tour in Yangon. Visit Botataung pagoda. Then  head out for a tour of the city featuring the faded colonial architecture of the old post office, the Strand road and continue walk to Mahabandoola Garden including the Independence Monument along the way and Sule Pagoda in the middle of downtown. Visit Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image. Finally, your last strop for today is the visit of the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world.
