Arrive in the historic city of Delhi and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

DELHI: CITYTOUR (B, D)

Enjoy a guided tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi which includes a drive past the Red Fort, as well as a visit to Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in Asia. Walk through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat, the simple but moving memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Later, drive past the imposing India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan (the President’s residence) and enjoy a visit to the 14th century step well Agrasen-ki-Baoli in the heart of Delhi. End the tour with a visit to Qutub Minar, a masterpiece of perfect proportions, and the garden tomb of Emperor Humayun.

Agra

DELHI – AGRA (B, D)

Leave the buzzing city of Delhi behind you and drive to Agra. Upon your arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the world renowned Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Declared as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO, the Taj Mahal has always evoked varying emotions from wonder to ecstasy and often times, inspired poetic verse. Then proceed to visit Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations.

Jaipur

AGRA – JAIPUR (B, D)

Today, drive to Jaipur. On your way visit Fatehpur Sikri, the beautiful deserted capital of the Emperor Akbar. Upon your arrival, check into your hotel and the rest of the day is free at leisure.

JAIPUR: CITYTOUR (B, D)

Start your day at the fabulous hill top citadel Amber Fort. En-route taking a photo-stop at Hawa Mahal, a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade. Located at the top of a hill, Amber Fort offers spectacular views of the old town below, where Akbar stopped en route on his annual pilgrimage to Ajmer. Continue to the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing, to observe the consuming and exhausting method of hand-block printing in entirety, from carving of wooden blocks to transformation of raw fabric into a piece of art. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour of the royal city of Jaipur. The highlights of the tour include a visit to the City Palace Museum, which has a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury of Mughals and Rajputs; the awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar Observatory, a stone astrological and astronomical Observatory and the colourful bazaars. You may want to walk around the colourful bazaars and enjoy a traditional sweet at a renowned sweetshop.

Continue your journey to the romantic city of Udaipur.

UDAIPUR: CITYTOUR (B, D)

Enjoy a half day excursion of the Nagda and Eklingji Temples. Nagda temple comprises of a majestic pair of 11th century temple of Saas-Bahu, literally, ‘Mother and Daughter-in- law Temples’ dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Continue to Eklingji, which is a complex of 108 temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Later, enjoy a city tour of Udaipur, which includes a visit to the City Palace – with a fortress-like façade, topped by a plethora of graceful balconies; it has been justly described as a massive plain cake topped with fabulous icing, and Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Garden of the maids of honour). Also, walk through the old city and learn about the miniature art this region is known for.

Jodhpur

UDAIPUR – JODHPUR (B, D)

Drive today to the “blue city” of Jodhpur. On your way, visit the beautiful Jain Temples at Ranakpur.

JODHPUR: CITYTOUR (B, D)

Take a guided tour of Jodhpur, which includes a visit to the majestic Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. The 5-kilometre long majestic Mehrangarh Fort is set on a 125 metre high hill and is one of the most impressive and formidable structures. Continue to Jaswant Thada which is located a short distance from the fort and is a white marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Later today, enjoy a turban or sari demonstration in the blue city.

JAISALMER: CITY- & DESERT TOUR (B, D)

Explore one of the largest forts of the world – the Jaisalmer Fort. The majestic fort’s yellow sandstone walls are a tawny lion colour during the day and turn to a magical honey- gold during the sunset against the picturesque yellow desert. During your tour visit the Gadisagar Lake – a rainwater reservoir built in 1367; the delightful Folklore Museum and the famous Nathwon and Patwon ki Havelis. Later in the afternoon, drive to the outskirts to view the sunset on the picturesque sand dunes and enjoy a camel ride.

Day 12
Bikaner

JAISALMER – BIKANER (B, D)

Travel to Bikaner in the morning and spend the afternoon on a sightseeing tour of the Junagarh Fort. Built in 1588 by Raja Rai Singh, this renowned fort is unusually not built on a hilltop. Later, walk around the old bazaar of Bikaner and taste a local savoury in the snack capital of India.

Mandawa

BIKANER – MANDAWA (B, D)

Drive to the fabulous Shekhawati region which is also known as the open air Art Gallery of Rajasthan. Transfer to your hotel in Mandawa, before you explore the beautiful havelis, painted predominantly in vibrant colours, have beautiful wall paintings that adorn their walls in this semi-desert region.
