Upon arrival at Taoyuan International Airport pickup and transfer to the hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at your own leisure.

Sun Moon Lake
TAIPEI SUN MOON LAKE - NATURAL HOT SPRING (B)
After breakfast picks up from the hotel and drive to the Sun Moon Lake which is located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. Stop at the famous Wenwu Temple, also known as Literature-Warrior Temple. It is dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword. Also, visit the Holy Monk Shrine and the Ci En Pagoda. After touring around Sun Moon Lake, check in to the hotel. Enjoy the natural hot spring at the Fleur de Chine Hotel, Sun Moon Lake. Or take advantage of the walking trails, biking, hiking or boating facilities at the lake.

Chiayi
SUN MOON LAKE - ALISHAN - CHIAYI (B)
After breakfast and check-out drive to Alishan via New Central Cross-Island Highway and Yushan National Park. Stop at the Tataka Visitors Center at 2,610 meters to appreciate the view of Yushan. Proceed to Alishan National Scenic Area for a forest walk and visit the Sisters Ponds, Shou-Chen Temple and the Fallen Giant Sacred Tree including an Alishan Forest alpine train ride (6-10 minutes). Continue to Chiayi for an overnight stay.

In the morning go on a tour to visit the Southern branch of the National Palace Museum. Drive to Taipei in the afternoon.

DAY TOUR TAROKO GORGE (B)
Early start and transfer to Taipei Railway Station to take the express train to Hualien. On arrival meet our guide and begin your tour with visits to Taroko Gorge Gateway, the Shakadang Trail, the Swallow Grotto, the Marble Bridge, Tianxiang, the Eternal Spring Shrine, the Marble Factory, Qixing Lake and the Hualien Stone Sculptural Park. Take the afternoon express train back to Taipei. Pickup from Taipei Railway Station and transfer to the hotel.

TAIPEI CITY TOUR - JIUFEN VILLAGE - NORTHEAST COAST TOUR (B)
After breakfast take a tour of Taipei city including the impressive Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, the National Palace Museum where 5,000 years of Chinese imperial arts and jade collections are exhibited, the Martyrs’ Shrine with its traditional architecture and watch the change of Honor Guards. Continue to a local Taiwanese temple and Taipei Handicraft Center. In the afternoon go on a tour to the Northeast Coast to visit Jiufen Village (walking tour of ca. 40 minutes), passing by Jinguashi Village. Stop at Bitou Cape to see the Nanya Rock Formations. Drive back to Taipei and get to see the Bay of Two Colours on the way.
