MEDAN ARRIVAL  

Upon arrival at the Airport in Medan your  tour guide welcomes you. Transfer to your hotel within the city of Medan. Afternoon free at own leisure.

Day 2
Tangkahan

MEDAN CITY TOUR AND TRIP TO TANGKAHAN (B)

After your first breakfast in Medan you will start your Sightseeing Tour of Medan. This includes the Sultan Palace, Great Mosque & Chinese Temple. From here you continue your journey to Tangkahan via Binjai and Batang Serangan. In the afternoon you arrive in Tangkahan where you checck in at your hotel.

Day 3

TANGKAHAN ELEPHANT AND RIVER SAFARI (B)

In the morning you walk to the elephant station and join the Mahout while they bath and feed the elephant. After feeding and bathing you have the chance to ride on one of the elephants, during your ride you pass through the river and jungle. After the elephant ride, take a short rest and then enjoy tubing through the river to reach the Fantastic Buluh Waterfall where you can take a nature shower, enjoy sun bathing as well as swimming by the river. In the afternoon arrive back in the village, where you get in touch with local people see their daily activities and with help of your tour guide you can join in. Then return to guest house by walking.

Day 4
Bukit Lawang

TANGKAHAN JEEPING TO BUKIT LAWANG (B)

After breakfast you leave Tangkahan for Bukit Lawang by Jeep, most of the roads are jungle roads so you will stop along your way at plantation, local schools, palm oil factory (From outside only) and for photostops with fantastic panoramic views along the way. In Bukit Lawang you will check into your hotel, rest of day on own leisure

Bukit Lawang

BUKIT LAWANG TREKKING (B)

In  the morning your trekking tour to Mount Leuser National Park starts. Mount Leuser National Park is a place that host many native Sumatran Species trekking gives you the best possible chance to see them in their nature habitats. Gunung Leuser host some appendix listed animals such as Orang Utan, Thomas Leaf Monkey, Long Tailed Macaque, Gibbon, Black Gibbon and many other plant variety from the forest. After your trekking Tour which last appr. 3 hours you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at own leisure – maybe you take a walk to the nearby local village to engage with the local and have some local experiences.

Day 6
Brastagi

BUKIT LAWANG HOTEL TO BRASTAGI (B)

Today your day starts with a journey to Brastagi – on your way you will have a few stops e.g. at Sembahe River while passing through the area of Sibolangit. In Brastagi you visit Lhumbini Park with its duplicate Pagoda of Shwedagon, fruit market and Gundaling Hill. Check in at your hotel and have the rest of the day at own leisure.

Day 7
Samosir Island

BRASTAGI TRIP TO LAKE TOBA (B)

Morning drive to Samosir Island on your way you visit Dokan Village. Dokan Village is a traditional Batak Karo Village which still features the traditional style of the daily life of Batak People. Close by the village you visist Sipisopiso Waterfall before visiting the Rumah Bolon (Long House). Rumah Bolon is the old palace of Batak Simalungun Tribe that is still well maintained. The last stop is at Simarjarunjung to get the best sight of Lake Toba continue on your journey and after a short ride you will reach Prapat – go on board the ferry to reach Samosir Island. Arrive at Samosir Island, check in at your hotel.

Day 8
Samosir Island

SAMOSIR – EXCURSION BY CAR (B)

Todays day excursion on Samosir Island will include visist to several Batak Toba traditional villages and to see the culture of Batak Tribes. At Ambarita village you see the legacy of Sialagan King in a form of stone chairs and table as the meeting tools in the old days. In Simanindo you  see the dances and museum that are hosting the many artifacts from Batak Toba. Continue to Pangururan to get the beautiful sight of Lake Toba and enjoy the hot spring of it. Afterwards you drive to the village of Tomok to see the tomb of King Sidabutar as one of the cultural spot of the area. Along your trip today you also have the chance to stop at school to see the activities of young children. Late afternoon return back to hotel.

Samosir Island

SAMOSIR ISLAND RETURN TO MEDAN AND NORTH SUMATRA FAREWELL (B)

After breakfast drive back to Medan passing through the beautiful areas of Pematang Siantar and Tebingtinggi which will take 5 hours driving altogether. Arrival in Medan directly transfer to airport to catch the flight to your next destination.
