Lembah Sembalun
LOMBOK ARRIVAL - SEMBALUN VILLAGE (L, D)
Upon your arrival at Lombok Airport, be welcomed by your trekking tour guide. Start with the Mataram City Tour. First, drive along the centre town of Ampenan as it was the main harbour town during the Dutch occupation. Then we visit Mayura which was built in 1744 and remarked with its floating house. It is also locally called Bale Kambang. Bale Kambang was the royal court of Hindu’s Kingdom – The Ruler of Lombok in the 17th century. Just at the opposite of the road from Mayura lays Meru Temple which was built in 1772. It is the largest temple that unifies all Hindu communities of Lombok. The temple has three highest tiers that represent for Brahma, Civa, and Wisnu, the manifestation of Trinity in Hindu Religion. Your trip continues to Narmada Summer Palace where you can see beautiful landscape and garden duplicating Rinjani Volcano. This palace was built in 1727 by the Hindu King for their holiday resort as well as for ritual purposes. Next is Lingsar Temple which was built in 1714. It is the oldest and the holiest Hindu shrine in Lombok as well as it is regarded as one of the sacred places for people who belief in the faith of Moslem Wektu Telu. After Lingsar Temple, enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant and continue driving east to Pringgabaya Village and turn up to Sapit and Pesugulan Village. Drive further up to Pusuk Pass and down to Sembalun Bumbung and on to Sembalun Lawang Village. Late afternoon, you arrive at your local guest house in Lembah Sembalun for your overnight. Dinner will be served at the guest house.
