Day 1

BANGKOK ARRIVAL (D)

Arrival in Bangkok – a private transfer picks you up at the Airport and brings you to your hotel. The rest of the Day is at leisure. In the evening you will enjoy your first Thai Dinner in a local restaurant.

Bangkok

BANGKOK (B, L, D)

Discover the daily life in Bangkok by subway followed by a ride on a water taxi on the Chao Phraya River towards the pier at Tha Tien. Visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew which houses the Emerald Buddha. Continue to visit Wat Po and taste ‘kai kratiem’ – fried chicken with garlic and soy sauce. Lunch will be arranged at a restaurant along the river. In the afternoon, discover Chinatown – Yaowarat and the vibrant flower market. Thai Dinner & Classical Dances show at “Silom Vilage

Day 3
River Kwai

BANGKOK – DAMNOEN SADUAK – KANCHANABURI (B, L, D) (190km)

After breakfast depart for Damnoen Saduak. Along the way, visit at a coconut sugar factory. Proceed to visit the floating market on a long-tail boat. Continue to Kanchanaburi with visit to the War Cemetery and Bridge Over The River Kwai and taste ‘Kaeng Kai Baan – curry chicken which is a specialty of Kanchanaburi. Lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take a train ride on the globally famous ‘Death Railway’. Afterward transfer to your hotel. Dinner at local restaurant.

Phitsanuloke

KANCHANABURI – AYUTTHAYA – LOPBURI – PHITSANULOKE (B, L, D) (380km )

Today you travel to Ayutthaya, former capital of the Siam Kingdom and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You visit the Wat Phra Mongkhon Bophit which houses the large bronze Buddha image, the Wat Phra Si Sanphet which is the most important temple in Ayutthaya and Wat Lokayasutharam (Temple of the Reclining Buddha).Lunch at a local restaurant with Taste ‘Pad Thai’ – noodle fried with soy sauce, shrimps and fish sauce and in the afternoon, visit the Monkey Temple. Arrive in Phitsanuloke at the end of the day. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 5
Chiang Mai

PHITSANULOKE – SUKHOTHAI – LAMPANG – CHIANG MAI (B, L, D) (375km )

In the morning you drive to the historical city of Sukhothai a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you visit the Wat Mahathat and Wat Sra Sri. Take the opportunity to do some bicycling or just stroll around the ancient city. Taste ‘Tom Ka Kai’ – chicken coconut soup flavoured with lemongrass. Lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant. After lunch you continue your journey to Chiang Mai. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6
Chiang Mai

CHIANG MAI (B, L, D)

Before breakfast you observe the sunrise offerings ceremony: a long procession of monks through the city led by the most senior monk.  Start your city sightseeing with a visit to Doi Suthep – one of the largest Buddhist temples in Thailand. Taste the national drink – SangSom. Lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit an Elephant camp to see Elephant At Work Show. (Elephant Ride – Optional – own expenses). In the evening – Enjoy Kantoke Dinner with Northern traditional dances. After Dinner you have the chance to explore the night market in Chiang Mai.

Day 7
Tak

CHIANG MAI – LAMPANG – TAK (B, L, D) (300 Km)
After breakfast you drive to Lampang, on the way you visit a local market. In Lampang you visit the Burmese temple Lunch at a local restaurant –Taste of Kaeng Hanglay (Chicken curry northern Thai style). Afterwards drive to Tak with a visit to Phumipol Dam. Dinner at a local restaurant

Day 8
Tak

Bangkok – Departure (B)

Your last breakfast on this tour. On your way back to Bangkok you visit opburi at Monkey shrine and Ruins Temple. Afterwards continue driving to Bangkok.
