ARRIVAL – FRENCH QUARTER WALK (D)
Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport. Meet guide. Transfer to hotel. Check
in and relax until 5.30 pm when it is time for the orientation tour. Introduced
to Seam Reap with a walk along tree lined boulevards of the French Quarter and
a visit to the Old Market, a popular shopping destination. Enjoy Welcome dinner
at local restaurant.

SIEM REAP
SIEM PREAP: SMALL CIRCUIT (B)
Have an early breakfast and set off on tour that will cover a 17 sq. km
area. Start off with Angkor Thom, that includes iconic attractions such as the
Elephant Terraces and that of the Leper King, temple of Bayon with enigmatic
faces on its towers and the Twelve Prasats. Ta Phrohm engulfed in tree roots,
the 11th century Buddhist temple Banteay Kdei, Sra Srang the royal baths,
Baphoun an 11the century Hindu temple and Spean Thma the remains of a rare
stone bridge will be part of the morning’s itinerary. Visit Angkor Wat after
lunch. Take time to soak in the magnificent setting, the architecture and
admire an intricately carved frieze thousands of feet long depicting tales from
Hindu mythology. View the surroundings from the Bakan tower, the tallest in the
temple. Stay to see the sunset over the temple.

SIEM REAP: GRAND CIRCUIT (B, L)
Breakfast early and start tour with the red sandstone temple of Banteay
Srei about 37 Km. North of Angkor. One of the oldest temples in the
archaeological park, it is famed for beautifully executed decorative carvings.
Traveling back to Siem Reap stop over at a typical Khmer village and observe
making of palm sugar and handcrafts. Lunch with a local family who will
demonstrate cooking of popular Khmer dishes. Visit the main temples of the
Grand Circuit after lunch. The unrestored Preah Khan a 12th century picturesque
temple, Neak Pean a tiny temple in the middle of a reservoir, East Mebon a
large temple complex with impressive elephant statues at the four corners of
its main terrace and Pre Rup similar in style to East Mebon, make up the
collection. View the sunset from East Mebon or Pre Rup.

SIEM REAP: BOAT EXCURSION (B)
Breakfast at hotel and set out for Tonle Sap 17 km from Siem Reap. On
the way experience a 30 minute oxcart ride through a village. After that get on
a traditional wooden boat and depart from one of the many piers by the lake to
visit a floating village on South East Asia’s largest freshwater lake that is
also a rich inland fishing ground. Facilities in villages depend on their size.
On the way back visit Les Artisans D’ Angkor an arts and crafts school. Observe
how handicrafts are turned out using traditional techniques. The shop here is
an excellent place to look for souvenirs. Afternoon free at your own leisure.

SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at hotel and relax until it is time to
transfer to the airport for return home.
