Day 1

Arrival Yangon

Upon arrival at airport, we will meet you with SMT (short for Sweet Memory Travel) welcoming board and then escort you to your hotel. The rest of day is for you relax to adjust the jetlag.

Day 2
Yangon

Yangon Sightseeing (B)


After having your breakfast at hotel and sightseeing to the city center including Mahabandoola Park, Emerald church, City Hall, Independence Monument and take a shot at Sule Pagoda. And walking around the area where you can feel ancient colonial time. Tour extend to Bogyoke Market (Scott Market) where you can shop handicrafts, jewellery, foodstuffs, clothes and consumer goods. In the evening, we will go to the Shwedagon pagoda and explore the colorful temples, stupa and statue that reflect the architecture era over 2600 years ago. Visitors will experience the insider’s view of this magnificent symbol of Buddhism of Myanmar people.

Day 3
Kyaikhtiyo

Yangon-Bago-Kyaikhtiyo (B)


After breakfast at hotel, drive to Bago, the Ancient Mon Capital. Extend visit to Kyaik Pun, four gigantic Buddha images all in sitting posture facing the four cardinal points of the compass, built by King Dhamazedi in 1476 A.D. Visit the reclining Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha Images, built in 994 AD by King Mingadippa, 55 meters long and 16 meters high, another biggest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar built during 9th Century. Tour extend to KYAIKHTIYO, THE GOLDEN ROCK PAGODA, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves stands precariously on the edge of a cliff. From Kin Pun base camp, take an open truck (shared with local peole) which is compulsory through a steep winding11 km road which leads to the upper staging point. Enjoy the beauty of sunset or dawn over the mountain ranges from the platform of Golden Rock Pagoda and descend from Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda.

Day 4
Yangon

Kyaikhtiyo-Bago-Yangon (B)

After breakfast, (descend from Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda) and drive back to Bago. Sightseeing includes “Kanbawzathardi Palace” the famous palace of the Emperor of the Second Myanmar Kingdom (1551-1581 A.D). Proceed to Shwemawdaw Pagoda, originally built by the Mons to a height to 23 meters in the 8th century and was rebuilt higher several times until it finally reached its present 114-meter stature in 1954. Return back to Yangon. Transfer to hotel for some refreshments. In the evening, we will visit to Kandawgyi Lake which is a famous sport in the evening for its fresh air and many restaurants choices around the park and lake. You will find many photo spots there, including the illuminated Karaweik Royal Barge floating on the lake and Shwe Dagon Pagoda. After relaxing your evening, you can dine at Karaweik restaurant with traditional puppet show as your choice (with own account).

Day 5
Yangon

Yangon-Dala-Twante-Yangon (B)


Enjoy breakfast at hotel and visit to Dala by ferry boat (approximately 15 min). When we arrive to Dala, start to explore Dala city by trishaw. This city offers the opportunity to see a regular and authentic Burmese Town growing through its daily routines. You can experience the fishing village beside the river, small local market and recycle house. Lunch at local restaurant with local cuisine. From there, we will proceed to Twante by car about an hour. Twante township is famous for its pottery workshop and situated in the Ayeyarwaddy region. You will have an opportunity to observe the local craftsmen create the pottery and experience it by yourself at the local factory. We will continue a visit to weaving workshop and Shwesandaw pagoda which is a landmark of the township and the sacred hair of the Lord Buddha is enshrined. Afterwards, drive back to Yangon and overnight at Yangon. 

Day 6
Bagan

Yangon-Bagan by flight Sightseeing (B)


After the breakfast, transfer to domestic airport for departure to Bagan. Free & easy at your leisure time. In the evening, explore one of the world heritage sites, Bagan by horse-cart (this is optional activity, if you prefer the car, the sightseeing will be transferred by car) and sightseeing to Thatbyinnyu Temple- a white stucco building, the highest temple in Bagan built by King AlaungSithu in mid-12 Century; Gawdawpalin. Enjoy sunset on the platform of Bu Paya (Bu pagoda) on the bank of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River with the backdrop of Tantkyitaung Hill. Overnight at Bagan.

Day 7
Bagan

Bagan Sightseeing (B)


Enjoy breakfast at hotel and explore the ancient city Bagan by visit to colorful Nyaung U market where you can experience about how the local people buy & sell fresh product goods. It provides a window into everyday life in Bagan. And visit to Shwezigon Pagoda which is the huge gold plated pagoda glimmering in the sun. Tour extends to Ananda temple which is the masterpiece of Bagan era with the architecture using Greek cross and Dhammanyangyi Temple which is the largest and haunted temple at Bagan and is related to the tragedies history of Bagan history. We will visit to traditional manufactures of unique lacquerware workshop to experience the work of art and might fantasize about exploring all of temples and pagodas in a few days will become a memorable trip for you. Watching sunset at Bagan is the highlight of this tour. Enjoy sunset at small hill will become a photogenic spot that you can visit. Return back to hotel and overnight at Bagan. 

Day 8
Bagan

Bagan-Popa Sightseeing (B)


Enjoy breakfast at hotel. We will drive to Popa (driving hours- about 1 hour 30 min). Mt. Popa is a popular day trip from Bagan. We will venture out Bagan to the popular sight known as Mt. Popa. 777 steps lead the way to reach the top of the Mt. Popa and amazing views will make you breath away. You can feel the countryside’s scenes including local people climbing the palm tree and local way of life. Lunch at local restaurant and then proceed to Sin Phyu Sin complex where the teaching of Buddhist Scripture was initiated as the school for Sangha. Get hand-on to the local traditional work shop at Popa to Bagan. Overnight at Bagan.

Day 9
Mandalay

Bagan-Mandalay by private car (B)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and drive to Mandalay by private car (driving hour- approximately 4 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to hotel check in for refreshments. Evening will be free to spend at your leisure. Overnight at Mandalay. 

Day 10
Mandalay

Mandalay Sightseeing (B)

After breakfast, we will visit to Mahamuni Buddha Temple-major pilgrimage site of Mandalay & which was built in 1785 by King Bodawpaya. Our tour extends to Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung (Golden Palace Monastery) where visitors can observe the wood sculptures in this area. After that, we will go to gold leaf workshop where visitors can witness the making process of Gold Leaf. Kuthodaw pagoda, the world’s largest book, consisting of 720 marble slabs sculpted with the three baskets of Buddhist scriptures will be the exposure stop for photography in this tour. Enjoy sunset at U Bein teak Bridge where you can see local people rides a bicycle and selling the hand-made postcards. Overnight at Mandalay.

Mandalay

Mandalay-Mingun Sightseeing (B)


Breakfast at hotel. Departing from Mandalay, you will discover the charms of old Burma as you take a journey through two of Myanmar's ancient capitals. Drive to jetty to watch the busy riverside activity and take a local riverboat to the ancient capital of Mingun (appr. 1 hour per way). Visit the Settawya Pagoda, with a footprint of the Buddha, walk to the huge Mingun Bell- the world’s largest ringing bell exists (It weighs 55555 viss), the nearby unfinished MingunPahtodawgyi- one of the famous buildings in the world., Myatheindan (Hsinbyume) Pagoda, built by King Bagyidaw in 1816, three years before he succeeded Bodawpaya as king, the pagoda was constructed in memory of his senior wife the Hsinbyume princess., a reproduction of the mythological Mt. Meru. In Mandalay, we will explore Mandalay Royal Palace complex, where we can learn the history of Burmese kingdom. Enjoy sunset at Mandalay hill will make you perfect in this tour. Overnight at Mandalay.

Day 12
Monywa

Mandalay-Monywa Sightseeing (B)

Enjoy your breakfast and drive to off the beaten path, Monywa which is a beautiful peaceful town where you will discover many fantastic attractions (driving hour from Mandalay to Monywa- about 4 hours).  We will across the Chindwin bridge foe visiting to Hpo Win Taung (Mt. Hpo Win) which lies on the western bank of Chindwin river to enjoy the fresh cool air and beautiful senses from the mountain. And nearby visit to Shwe Ba Taung (Mt. Shwe Ba) which is famous for its unique pavilions cut from the surrounding sandstone and filled with Buddha images. Afterwards, our tour extends to Mohnyin Than Buddhay pagoda which is far-famed for its unique architecture and said to accommodate 582,357 small Buddha images. After enjoy the lunch, visit to Kyaukka lacquerware village where you will have a chance to learn about traditional way of making beautiful lacquerware. Overnight at Monywa. 

Day 13
Mandalay

Monywa-Mandalay (B)

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel and drive back to Mandalay. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in for some refreshments. The rest of the day will be free at your leisure. Overnight at Mandalay. 

Day 14
Kalaw

Mandalay-Heho by flight-Kalaw sightseeing (B)

Enjoy breakfast at hotel and transfer to domestic airport for departure to Heho (flying hour – about 35 minutes). From Heho, drive to Kalaw (driving hour-1 hour). We will transfer to hotel check in for some refreshments. Evening will be free at your leisure. Overnight at Kalaw. 

Day 15
Kalaw

Kalaw-Pindaya Sightseeing (B)

Enjoy your breakfast and in the early morning we will explore Kalaw market. And drive to Pindaya (driving hour-approximately 2 hours). Pindaya which have many natural limestone caves housing over 8000 Buddha images of various sizes. And visit to Buddha Cave, it is also known as Shwe U Min Paya, thanks to the pagoda that sits inside it and nearby Pindaya Caves. After lunch, tour extend to local workshop where you can experience about Shan paper making and umbrella are made. And drive back to charming town, Kalaw. In the evening, we will visit to Thein Taung Monastery and Nee Paya, a gold lacquered bamboo Buddha. Overnight in Kalaw. 

Day 16
Kalaw

Kalaw Trekking (B)

Enjoy breakfast at hotel and start trekking to one of the villages. We will walk across the vegetable field, tea and orange plantation. Lunch will be served at local home prepared by villagers. Overnight at local home.  

Day 17
Inle Lake

Enjoy breakfast at local home and start trekking to Indein village. We will walk across the vegetable field, tea and orange plantation. Lunch will be served at local home prepared by villagers. And we will transfer to Inle Lake and overnight at Inle Lake. 

Day 18
Inle Lake

Inle Lake sightseeing (B)

Breakfast at hotel and take a private motorboat to head out to Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s most spectacular sights. Pass villages built on stilts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Observe the leg-rowing fishermen and see their floating gardens built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. Visit PhaungDawOo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, which contains five sacred Buddha images covered in gold leaf. Explore the local crafts of Inle Lake with a stop at the weaving village of Innpawkhone and a cheroot factory, where the typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. Overnight in Inle.

Yangon

Inle –Yangon by flight (B)

Enjoy breakfast at hotel and transfer to domestic airport for departure to Yangon. Free and easy at Yangon.
