Welcome to Ecuador! Upon your arrival, you are welcomed and escorted to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Day 2

In the morning, explore the historic city of Quito, which was declared as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1978. First, visit the Basilica del Voto Nacional, where you climb the tall church tower and enjoy fantastic views of the old town. Then, get to know the Plaza Grande and the churches La Compañía and San Francisco. After this sightseeing tour, a culinary experience begins for you. Visit a typical city market, where you get many exotic fruits and buy the ingredients for the subsequent Cooking Class. At the small restaurant Altamira, you learn a lot about Ecuadorian dishes and prepare your own lunch. Buen provecho! Strengthened then drive in the afternoon to the equatorial monument "Mitad del Mundo" where you are simultaneously on the northern and southern Hemisphere! If you still have enough energy in the evening, we recommend an independent visit to a salsa bar where the locals prove their skills.
Overnight: Quito

Day 3

Today, take a day trip to the north to Otavalo, which is known for its colorful market. En-route stopp at Calderón. This place is known for its typical colorful salt figurines (bread babies), which you can buy as a souvenir. In Otavalo itself, you have enough time to discover the many goods in the market zone and to buy your first souvenirs. Do not forget to bargain! At lunchtime, enjoy your typical Almuerzo lunch in a small local restaurant before heading to Cuicocha Lagoon. These can be admired on a walk from different angles or (optionally) take a small boat trip on the lagoon. In the late afternoon you drive back to Quito to your hotel where you have some time for yourself before being driven by a driver for dinner in a restaurant with a view over the city.

Say goodbye to Quito and Ecuador today. The last day of the trip is at your leisure. Depending on the time of departure, you can once again admire the historic city of Quito or quickly get some souvenirs before you are picked up at the hotel at the agreed time and taken to the airport.
